Classification of Members and eligibility
There are four types of Membership which are as follows
- General Member: Any Nepali citizen may apply for the membership under the criteria of the Section 7.
- Founder Member: The officials during the registration of the Trust are the founder members. Founder members can either apply for General or Lifetime membership.
- Lifetime Member: Persons/ Organization making special contribution to the organization are the lifetime members.
- Honorary Member: The General assembly will decide to grant honorary membership. The honorary members however won’t have voting rights.
Eligibility criteria for membership
Criterion for membership
- The applicant must be a Nepalese citizen.
- The applicant must be 18 years of age.
- Ex-soldiers can be the member of the organization
- The applicant shouldn’t be insane.
- The applicant should not be involved in the abuse of public property.
- The applicant should not be prosecuted in corruption cases.
Those who cannot apply
- Foreign citizens.
- The applicant is insane.
- Under 18 years of age.
- Applicant prosecuted for the abuse of public property.
- Applicant prosecuted for corruption cases.
- Applicant having vested interest other than the organization .
- Applicant prosecuted by Military Court.
Suspension of membership
Following criterion apply
- The member is unable to get membership according to section 8 of the Legislation.
- The general assembly votes to remove the member by ¾ majority
- If the member tenders his resignation.
- If found guilty of corruption or for treason against the Trust.
- For going against the Legislation.
- If membership fee is not submitted in time.
- If the organization is dissolved.
(Before the suspension of the membership, all members will be given a fair chance to put up their case. )
